FaLLEN Calendar 2016 - March

Awake at a scuzzy hotel in Narita at 4 am waiting for daylight so I can mosey on over to the airport and make my last flight so I can finally see my dog and relax in my Matsuyama home.

I wanted to draw Neiva reading in the rain, so I decided to make her image the March illustration for the calendar I did for Kickstarter in 2014. I only have a few images left to post from the calendar, but looking back I really learned a lot from this experience. I am going to have another Kickstarter begin in about a month and a 2017 calendar is definitely one of the things I want to do again for my rewards.

Neiva isn't very emotive but for some reason she is one of my favorite characters in my comic series FaLLEN for me to draw. She's the oldest member in the group by several years and would rather read than spend any real time with her cohorts. I'm a lot more social than her, but there are times when I have my book out and that is essentially a "Do Not Disturb" sign I am hanging up, haha. Neiva looks good in red, I am finding.
