FaLLEN Ch.7 Pages 12-13

TADAAAA!!! Introducing Maris and Vesta, at long last!!! I was so excited to post this page I could barely wait until Friday, so I updated my website first thing this morning, haha. The website now has an updated image gallery, with tons of new illustrations in the fan art gallery and a few in the main gallery, but if you're watching me on dA you have probably seen the official stuff before. Well, except for the color cover art, which I've been dying to post since last month, featuring these two Guardians. I think I'll go post that right now ;D

I used a new method to do a double spread that makes the center line look a little off but I think it will look fine for the printed release, since a lot of that area will get cut/reduced. I thought the tones for this page would be relatively simple but I ended up spending a whole day on these pages because the background tone was hard to work with. I only had one sheet to cover two pages so I had to get creative. Still trying to learn how to draw special effects like fire/water! Gonna have to get used to being a bit more creative in that regard... the elemental magic is here to stay, after all!
