So... lately I've been getting a lot of notes from random people asking me about being an assistant in Japan. Which is cool, I get a lot of those, but I don't normally get them all at once. Did I get featured somewhere on something or something something? My daily pageviews aren't spiking or anything, but it just seems weird to me, haha. I was kinda surprised, especially since I haven't uploaded any new art in over a month.

I'm finishing up a nudey girly picture that isn't the sort of thing I normally post, so don't get frightened and run away crying. After that I've got a few other commissions to finish up, including one I recently got from a woman who I might be working with professionally in the near future. Because I really want this job, and she knows it, she asked me to draw a poster for her Halloween party. I was about to tell her no until she mentioned she would give copies to her friends. Her friends work in the anime industry... CURSES! So now I have to put a lot more than five minutes into it. It's a Halloween picture, and I have to do it before Tuesday... oh well.

So, naked girls and a Halloween pic coming up in the next few days.

:iconirukapuppy: and :iconcybervideo:, I didn't forget about you two. If by the end of the month I don't have something started, though, feel free to punch me.

Tomorrow is my boyfriend's birthday, and since he is FINALLY done touring with the solo artist Kimeru (anybody know who he is?), I'm glad we can spend the day together. But he bought the new Yakuza video game (or Ryuu Ga Gotoku 4 as it is known here), which was what I was going to get him, and now I've got nothing. Oh here, I'll plug his album for him:

If you click on the video clip of "Moon Butterfly", that's my boyfriend on the left playing bass. You don't get to see his face much, but they close in on his hands a lot... so that's something. Up until now they have mostly used software for bassists, but they really like him so hopefully he'll be sticking around. The other members of the backup band seem pretty nice, too.

(p.s, I don't like the new Bakuman anime very much...)

Probably you have a secret 'Dady long legs' ;P
or secret agents who support you behind the scenes ;P That's not me though.

The other day I ran into info
that Ascii Media Works will start an online manga magazine from this December.
In the future, they are planning to have the version in English.
It might be of your interests.

I just read the article. I expect a lot of publishers will be using the iPad for comic releases in the future. I still prefer print, but maybe going digital isn't such a bad idea. Thanks for the link :D

hurr slow reply (thanksgiving = no internet for the long weekend)
Halloween pictures yay! Will you be uploading it? (And oh man don't feel bad about submissions! I havent put up anything since the beginning of june. it's inexcusable pfuh)

You have an awesome boyfriend ;A;

(Also totally agree about the Bakuman anime. I feel like they lost the life of that series somewhere in the translation from manga to animated series... The characters look so... dead. Miho is probably the worst... her eyes completely lost their shine and happiness :( I do like Mashiro`s voice though, but thats all.)

Holy cow, you need to upload some arts! Has it really been that long???
Yeah, I'll be posting the Halloween pic. I just did the lineart yesterday (took me forever...), and since I'm still debating about whether to use paints, markers, or the computer to color it I might just post the lineart separate and be like "Here kids, have fun coloring!"

I wuv my boyfriend. But I wish he'd take out the garbage without me having to ask.

YES! The opening theme is even SO BORING for an anime... I like how the characters looked in the production stills, but when I watched the first episode I was like "Was the manga this depressing in the beginning?" Mashiro is like "My life sucks" and you're right about Miho's eyes. I think Akito (or Shuujin, these characters have so many names) sounds way too adult, and Kaya's voice bugs me. But to be honest, I wasn't really expecting the anime to be very good. The only thing I liked was how they made Mashiro's uncle's manga an anime with that Hironobu Kagayama dude singing the theme. He sang all the cornball classics (like DBZ's Cha-La-Head-Cha-La)

Yeah... I'm gonna try and have something done for/on this weekend orz

I guess that's kind of a given for a lot of guys? (Not that I would know rofl, i've only gone out with one guy, and dumped his sorry ass after a month because all he could do was ask for sandwiches and play WoW)

Oh man... the opening pretty much bored me to TEARS. And Kaya's voice is potential the most irritating anime girl voice i've heard in a looong time D: I imagined her sounding tomboyish, not like a nasal old woman. I just watched episode 2 last night and my goodness, it might have even been worse that the first episode. And I don't really ever remember the beginning being depressing or slow in manga form. The manga has made me both laugh/SQUEE and cry (well more tear up from sheer joy) but I don't think i'll ever be able to say the same about the anime :/
(OMG I totally loved the animation for his uncle's anime! It was SO CUTE AHHH!! Like awesome old style brought back to life! I completely had a huge stupid grin on my face for that entire part XD  Although now that I think about it, having that clip at the beginning made the even more anxious and excited... only to be let down for the actual anime >_< )

Yeah, that clip at the beginning made me think "Oh, wow, this is gonna be sweet!" and then.... not so much. I'll watch the next few episodes and then probably lose interest, haha. The only thing I really want to see is how the animate Crow and some of the other "manga within a manga" scenes.

I totally LOLed at you ex boyfriend's description. Sandwiches and WoW... that sounds like sooo many guys I've known.

Haha yeah i'm pretty excited for those parts too :D (I wish Crow and the others were -actual- series on their own sometimes as well... they all seem like they'd be interesting)

I would really like to read Crow and Rakko 9 or whatever the sea otter comic is. The newest comic the two are working on sounds vaguely amusing, but something that bothers me about the comic is how little they talk about developing characters, which is a HUUUGE part of comicking. (...and really, when you think about it, Bakuman characters are fairly one dimensional and boring themselves....) You would think that would be one of their main struggles, but characterization always seems to fall behind story gimmicks.
