Since I'm pretty much a month behind schedule thanks to what's been going on here in Japan, I am postponing the art book to an August release. I think it's better to take my time with getting the art and printing done than to do it all in two weeks. I will have postcards for sale by the end of the month, though, as well as a sticker pack.  It's all going to be extremely cheap-- $1 per postcard, or $3 for five, etc. Sticker pack is $3 and comes with a postcard.

I'm also going to start posting pages from my one-shot comic soonish...  probably not every page, maybe just 8 or so. Do you guys prefer Japanese with English translations in the comments section, or just straight up English only? I'm redoing a few pages but I should have something up before Friday.

As for prize art, I would like to start that later this month, but I might wait until May 6th after the comic event is over. Everything is getting pushed back ^^;

Just posted the character sheet for Maya. Now every major character in FaLLEN Book I is up. I'd like to get a few more chapters up from Book II before I do any of the new characters.

I got a few things in from the print shop already. Here's one of the postcards, front and back, and the sticker pack, with my phone modeling the stickers. And Mugi from K-ON! because she was attached to my fiancee's bottle of tea.

BTW, I am really liking D. Gray-man, even though I thought the first two volumes were pretty dull. It really got interesting when the Noah gang was introduced. If I were still in high school I'd be mad crushing on Lavi and Tiki (okay, I kind of am crushing on Tiki anyway.... he's my favorite character so far). I like the artwork, even if the battle scenes are kind of like "wha?". The artwork has gotten so much better, but sometimes I'm like "what were you thinking?!" when she names characters (Lavi? Tiki? Road? Lenary? geh). I think Hoshino does really nice effects, and I like that she's using less screentone by ch. 9, when the art suddenly made a big stylistic change. Did she come back from a break after that?

I am noticing I really like boys manga written by female mangaka. I always feel like the characters are a bit more interesting... though I guess if Bakuman's story person is indeed female that would break the mold because I think she is TERRIBLE at developing and utilizing side characters.

I buy every volume of Bakuman the day it comes out, but I admittedly don't have much affection for any of the characters XD Characters I like never really get developed much, yet new characters are introduced all the time. It was the same for Death Note.

Death Note had a FANTASTIC storyline. Up to the halfway point I was really seriously addicted to it. However, after L died and Mello and Near were introduced I think the author lost some of her focus. I was especially unhappy with how Misa just kind of disappears at the end, despite being a major character. I actually thought in the very end when they show a girl praying that that was Misa, and I was really satisfied with the ending until months later I bought the Death Note guidebook and it referred to her as just some random girl. I was like "So wait, what happened to Misa!?" I also thought Mello's chocolate fetish and Near's twirling his hair/playing with toys thing was overdone. Quirks are great, but the chocolate and toys thing was kind of... stupid. I could go on and on XD The first half was good, though. A few things she made overly complicated and boring (like explaining how he set up his drawer to burst into flames... even though it never came into use in the story) but it was certainly a unique story and I really liked the first half.

Bakuman was dull at first, then got interesting, and now is kind of meh. The problem for me is, I root for Shuujin since he sincerely wants to be a mangaka, but I want to smack Saikou over the head because all he can think about is getting an anime so he can marry Azuki. I actually kind of root for them to fail (or for Saikou at least to fail) since that's a pretty stupid reason to become a mangaka, and it's insulting to people like me to see someone (even just a fictional character) reach that professional status and have a hit series and then decide it's not enough to be 20, rich, and successful. I cheer on Eiji more than Saikou, and I really doubt that was the author's intentions...

Oops, left a long comment, haha.

EXACTLY!!! I thought that was Misa and I thought it was a great ending, kind of sad and all, but no, it wasn't Misa. Just some random girl who was said to be a follower of Kira. I was so disappointed. I think if I recall the guide said Misa just died a few years later since she'd shortened her lifespan like twice already. I don't know what you mean about L's spirit waiting for him, though ^^; Was it in the anime or manga or both? I only ever read the manga.

The stickers and the postcards look so professional and cool~ How would one go about making those? (I've always wanted to make things like that.)

As for your comic, I prefer reading things in English. When it's in Japanese and I have to read the translation in the artist's comments, I find it very annoying and I don't enjoy reading it.

I used a print company to do it. I send them the data at the right sizes (most places have templates on their websites), and they check the data, then if it's good to go I get it delivered in about a week. But you have to buy in bulk, usually. I had to buy at least 100 postcards.

And thanks for the input :D

Ahh I see, thanks for telling me~

No problem! c: What you could do too is you could post it in both languages (either individually or together), so people can pick which language to read.
