I watched the live action show some time ago and always thought it would have been interesting to see how Dark Mercury, Sailor Luna, and Princess Sailor Moon would have looked in the animated series (which I will always love the best). So I drew my own version of the three characters. I experimented with the funky shadowing after looking at some of the Sailor Moon S LD covers (which are all gorgeous). It's not conventional, and it was sort of a challenge, but I kinda like the outcome. More interesing than the usual traditional cel-shading, I suppose.

EDIT 5/22 : I was going to enter this for a print, but I guess that option isn't available for fanart... even though fanart is in the prints section every day...

Thank you <3 For as many adorable kids as there are in Japan, I was surprised at how HIDEOUS the little girl who played Luna was. My friend Mami said "She looks like an old woman." That was disappointing. Thanks for the comment :D

HAHAHA GOD was it ever. It was cute at first, but then it kept going and got all "serious" and I was just like "groooooooan" every time I watched it. I watched it all the way through though because I met the actor for Zoicyte and my friend wanted to set us up on a date, so I did "research". We never went, though...

Well I know she's Serenity, but did she have a special Sailor name? Like Sailor Luna, Dark Mercury... Sailor Princess Moon??? Or did they just say Serenity? Ah well. Glad you like it :D

Lovley^^ I havent watched the live action show, but from these references i'll stay away o.0, other than that i love the colors! I loved rainbow mixed colors!

Beautiful work!!! I love how vibrant the colors are. and the details are amazing. especially their eyes. There is so much personality in their faces.
