NEIVA Character Design Sheet

This took way longer than it should have because my boyfriend kept coming in and trying to get me to party with him (that means I watch him drink while he puts a Guns 'N Roses concert into the DVD player). So I kinda got a little sloppy, even though Neiva is the easiest Guardian to draw.

Neiva is a no-nonsense sort of character who doesn't do much in the first part of the story because she's always off reading or avoiding her younger Guardian companions. A bit of a spoiler for FaLLEN readers, but Neiva is indeed a librarian. She takes her job very seriously though and wears office-appropriate wear and carries a briefcase to work, I guess to take books home in, haha. Her color is gray, because gray never gets any representation in magical girls shows.

She also has big boobs. I have maybe two really busty characters (Lamia being the other), and as much as I love drawing boobs I HATE coloring them. She doesn't flaunt her chest if she can avoid it, but her Guardian uniform kind of puts them on display. At least she has big shoulder guards-- how practical!

For the bottom right pics, I referenced the pose and part of the work uniform from an artbook by Hiderou Horibe. He's a pretty good artist, though I think his style is considered a little "old" now.
