K-ON: Mugi

One of the few contemporary shows I like is K-ON! I like Yui quite a bit, and Ritsu is funny, but Mugi is my absolute favorite character. The teacher was great until she got obsessed with dressing up the characters, and Mio was cool until her character revealed itself to be a big scaredy cat. Because I didn't think it really made any sense for her character, it kind of turned me away from her. I think Azusa should have been the big chicken, because I don't really get why she is in the group other than to be Mini-Mio.

I'm practicing imitating current anime styles, since an editor recently told me my style is too "old school". Hope this doesn't look old. It was pretty easy to do, at least... maybe three hours start to finish, excluding the background.

I actually did draw the background by hand, and then made it blue and added a filter or two. The background is for assistant work, but I decided to use it here anyway.
