Generation V Starter Pokemon

Ugh... just found out their names HAVE been announced. [link] This link also had pics I'd never seen before of the starters... I guess Bulbapedia isn't such a great source for information after all. And sure enough, their names are on the scans. Mijumaru, Pokabu, and Tsutaaja. According to other Japanese sites I checked out, they are saying the types are "sea otter pokemon", "fire pig pokemon", and "snake pokemon". SNAKE? With arms and legs??? I guess they thought an actual snake wasn't marketable to kids. And "hibuta" here maybe means two things... it could be fire pig or it could be used to describe starting a fight. So he must be a feisty piggie


NEW POKEMON STARTERS!!!!!!

I just found out here [link] that the CoroCoro scans have been leaked and the new starters for Pokemon Black and Pokemon White are these three.

I had guessed one was a pig, but I'm surprised about the otter and disappointed about the lizard... I mean, we had a gecko grass starter that was basically a lizard, so I was hoping for a bird grass type starter. Oh well. I think the piggy is so cute! And the otter looks too much like Piplup, but I'm anxious to see his transformations.

This only took like 45 minutes start to finish... I just wanted to take time out from commissions to express my joy that the starters have been announced. The names are still a mystery though (I kind of want to think that PokeBeach is full of it with the names they listed).

I can't wait for this game this autumn!!!! The new starter players are also really cool looking-- love the girl! But I won't draw them, heh.
